ITS FRIDAY!! #fridayfavs

{Friday Favorites}

TGIF! I'm linking up with Andrea  and sharing this weeks favs!

During the week I put the boys down for nap/quiet time and then I eat lunch. This week I've been so busy during that time of the day that I've made a little app plate for lunch instead of my usual salad. It works great if you have a lot to do and you can just graze through the afternoon.

I've recently really loved shopping at Aldi! The prices are so cheap.. Especially on things we fly through.. Like snacks for the boys. If I let him Nathan would have a constant snack in his hand.

Tuesday night we celebrated one of my girlfriends birthdays! Erin (on the far right) is twins with Teresa (far left)! We've decided this year to celebrate their birthdays on two different days, so they both feel special! This night we went to a Greek restaurant and celebrated Erin! We had so much fun... Not the best picture.. But that's what you get when you ask a bartender to take your pic!

I absolutely LOVED the Grammys this year!
I was totally obsessed with Carrie's hair! I took a screen shot and sent a message to my girlfriends where we then discussed #tobobornottobob I love it!
....and didn't she just have a baby? #notfair

This guy. Always a favorite #almostalways #ikid

Body Pump!
We recently joined a gym and it's been awesome! I drop the kids off and they love the childcare, most days they are the only kids there! I've gotten back into body pump and i've been loving it! #almostasmuchasilovecake #notevenclose #butimworkingonit

It's supposed to be 60 degrees on Saturday! I don't even remember what that feels like! Can't wait!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Favorite Pins

I'm linking up with Andrea today and sharing some of my favorite pinterest pins!
I have no idea what life was like before pinterest. The days of looking through magazines or cookbooks for weekly inspiration are long gone!

After I've made or tried a Pin, I move it to the  "Things I've Tried" board. I frequently head back here to find something I want to try again!

These are always such a hit when I bring them somewhere! Super easy!

Recipe Box board is where I Pin all of my go-to meal ideas. I head here every weekend as I'm meal planning to get some ideas of things we have loved!

We love this kid friendly turkey chili!

I also have boards for both the boys! Nathan's has moved from baby stuff to toddler stuff. I've been pinning some pins about iPad apps for toddlers!

There's also a whole lot of potty training pins on there, because I wanted every.single.tip. on how to tackle that parenting stage!

When we bought our house in May, I started pinning things to the Our New House board. We have been slow to get much done in the house, but I love having the pins there for inspiration on how to update! This is one of my favorite pins....I mean....who knew?!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday night I worked at the hospital. It was a pretty quiet night for me and I enjoyed the slower pace.

Saturday morning I came home and slept for a couple hours after night shift.

After the boys naptime we went to the new gym we joined. We got a nice workout in, and the boys got to burn off some energy #canigetanamen

Saturday night we went out to dinner with Eric's Aunt and Uncle. They are some of our favorite people! They are only 12 years older then us and always have such great life advice since they were just in our shoes, raising babies, not too long ago!

This has been my go-to outfit lately for going out. My favorite black pointe pants and booties.. and then I just switch out the top and scarf.

I love the wine glasses at this restaurant!

And the food! I got a steak salad and it had fries on it! #bestillmyheart #friesoneverything

Me and Shan sharing a bottle of Red

Sunday I did a little photo shoot for Bryce's birthday. Oh my goodness.

Here's a little sneak peak! I'll be posting about his big day on Friday!
#cuddleme #mybabyisnotababyanymore

Sunday afternoon I took Nathan to Target so he could pick out a present for Bryce for his birthday. He was basically picking out toys HE wanted #threeyearolds.
We ended up with a cute farm animal little people set that Nathan is so excited to give him!

While Nathan and I were out shopping, Eric sent me this picture of Bryce trying to scale and pack and play. Guess I can put this in storage now. #waaaa

Such a great weekend! We are celebrating Bryce's big day this weekend with family and friends! Can't wait to celebrate my big boy!

What's Up Wednesday

I'm linking up with Shay, Mel and Sheaffer and sharing What's Up!

This soup from Skinnytaste (we had this last night, yum!)
Breakfast for Dinner

Bryce's first year!
This popped up on my time hop the other day
I was just twoweeks from Bryce arriving! It feels like yesterday.

We are having a small family party next weekend and my boy is gonna love him some cake! #mamasboy

Ok. So, total guilty pleasure. Over the blizzard I was snowed in with my good friend, Teresa. We needed some mindless TV to binge watch and I got totally hooked on this show. What can I say...I love a good high school drama.

I blogged about our weekend and the snowpocalype here #andnowiveblockeditoutofmymind #forever

School being out all week. Bryce and I love our preschool mornings to run errands alone. Man, things are so much easier to get done with just one little! All errands have been moved to next week.

I started my January with a goal to get healthy #alongwiththerestoftheworld
I've been doing Weight Watchers and I'm really loving the plan so far! I pinned this the other day and got to work making my lunches for the week!

Eric and I are planning a trip to Mexico in March! I think we are going to stay here

My MOPs group is having a book club this month and we are reading this book! I can't wait to dive in!

I have these two songs on repeat:

Alessia Cara: Here

Carrie Underwood: Heartbeat

I've been wearing a puffy vest so far this winter...but last weekend it got serious. I had to bring out my trusty North Face. They make the warmest jackets!

We don't have any big plans this weekend. I am working Friday night shift and then we'll probably spend the weekend catching up on our todo list.

Eric's birthday usually gets lumped in with Valentine's Day since it's the day before. This year we are dropping the kids at my parent's for the weekend and heading to the city!

Fancy hotel #check
 Dinner reservations #check
Sleeping in #check

Can't wait to spend a mini weekend away with my main man!

I don't really have a favorite Valentine's Day Treat. I love chocolate covered strawberries! I need to look on Pinterest for a fun treat to make my favorite guys this year!

Weekend Wrap Up: Snowmagedon 2016 Edition

What a weekend!

We survived. But it wasn't pretty.

Last week the news was going crazy talking about a big snow storm on our way. I work every weekend, and this storm just so happened to fall right on a weekend. When there is a big snow storm, nurses are expected to show up to their shift, as scheduled. One of my best girlfriends lives across the street from the hospital and we agreed that I should get snowed in with her!

When I got to her house Friday Night, there was already about an inch of snow on the ground! We walked to the town center for dinner and spicy Margaritas at Bar Taco!

Our walk back to her condo was cold and snowy!

We settled in with all of the essentials for being snowed in! Wine, iPads, magazines. brownies and the local news forecast!

Saturday morning Eric sent me this picture of Nathan in the snow! He was loving every minute!

Meanwhile...Teresa and I were making fresh orange mimosas

Eric kept me pretty updated on my little guys! I had bought Nathan a bunch of fun snacks and treats for the weekend. He loved the cereal!

Saturday Night with my crew! I had planned to walk to the hospital but it turned out the snow was up to my knees and it was almost impossible to walk. We had some great volunteers who picked up nurses around the area to make sure we could all get safely to work.

Sunday, Eric's uncle Brad came and picked me up and drove me home. We couldn't make it down the culd-a-sac in his jeep because it hadn't seen a plow yet. Crazy! My neighbor used a snow plow so there was a path from the main road to our house. That's our snowy house, and this is as close as any car could get to it.

Reunited! Nathan was SO excited to tell me all of his stories from the weekend in the snow!

On Monday Eric went to pick up our car at Teresa's house. He brought me back a little piece of civilization #starbucks

Our neighbors were such a great help to Eric with clearing all of the snow! I made them some homemade Pineapple Banana Bread and brought it over to them still warm...yum!

Unfortunately the end of the storm...means the end of seeing this guy nonstop on the news conferences. I can't be the only one loving his serious reports!
My girl friend, Erin made me this meme #becauseweareteenagers

That was all the snow I can handle for this year #bringonspring

{Friday Favorites}

I have to be honest.

Nathan came home from school last week with a little cough and it cycled it's way through the house at rapid speed. I'm not sick that often, and it totally slipped my mind that moms don't get sick days. I desperately wanted to just lay in bed for days.

We survived.
Moving on to my favorites of the week!

What is it with boys?! Even his Mr. Potato Head had to be a "bad guy".

I bought "Theraflu" green tea with honey and drank that every morning. It's a favorite. #howsadismyweek

I started putting up some Valentine's Day decorations! I found this cute wood banner on Targets dollar spot for $3. Such a steal!

I totally forgot this little stage. The "cooking dinner with someone attached to your leg" stage. He's lucky he's cute!

Northern Va is expecting a BIG snow storm this weekend. People have been going a little crazy over the last couple of days stocking up on all the essentials.
I can't help but laugh at this picture.

Supposedly.. If the forecast is right we are looking at over two feet for this area. That will shut everything in the area down for approximately two months. #notreally #butkindof

I am working at the hospital Saturday night, so I'm leaving my three guys behind and camping out at my good friend Teresa's for the weekend. She happens to live in a quiet condo walking distance from the hospital #imsleepingin #pinchme

Weekend Wrap Up

On the weeks that I work Friday Night Shift, my Father in Law watches Nathan for a couple hours at his house. I caught this cute pictures of them looking out the windows waiting for Pap-Pap to get here. Bryce will basically do anything that Nathan does!

Bryce is a big eater. I mean he LOVES food. He'll eat anything and you can't have anything to yourself when this kid is around #bestdietever #eathalfmyfood

Friday night I got put on call at work so I got to hang with Eric and then got to go to bed! They called me at 2am to come in. So I did a quick little 5 hours at the hospital and then came home to sleep.

Saturday we celebrated this sweet girl's 3rd Birthday! Poor Nathan was sick with some sort of cold, so I made him stay home so that he didn't spread his germs. Gracie is Nathan's very best friend, they love playing wrestling together.

Gracie has the cutest little baby cousin. The look on my face says it all #mamawantsanother
It's amazing how you forget so quickly just how tiny they were. #babyfever

While Bryce and I were at the birthday party, Eric took Nathan to Wegmans to grab dinner. He loves taking Nathan to eat there, it's a lot of families with young kids just getting out of the house on the weekends.

They even have this cute little area with cartoons and tables to the kids to sit at. It's a little piece of sanity during these cold winter days.

On Sunday we headed to the Apple Store to get Eric's iPhone screen fixed. Apple has it all figured out. They have iPad's at a little kids table to keep them busy while you're getting your phone fixed.

While we were getting the phone fixed we grabbed some lunch at Panera. No pictures of that show. #sorrytoeveryoneatpanera. My kids aren't really "eat out" kids.

Once the phone was fixed, we headed home for nap time and Eric and I spent HOURS trying to figure out where we want to stay in Mexico when we go away March. I mean hours! We ended our research no closer to an actual decision.
